Skill Achievement

Often, children may need help with acquiring and developing skills needed for a better quality of life. Aptitude Behavioral Services utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis and the concept of reinforcement to assist children with necessary skills, including autism social skills development. After an intake procedure, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst will assess your child and determine any deficits, including challenges with autism social skills, and an Aptitude Behavioral Services staff member will assist with creating a plan to help your child reach his/her goals. Skill sets may include following requests and complying with instructions, independently completing age-appropriate tasks (such as brushing teeth, getting dressed, toileting, feeding self, etc.), appropriately playing with toys, appropriately playing with peers, engaging in appropriate conversation, and attending to school work. Autism social skills development is a key focus, ensuring children learn how to effectively interact with others and build meaningful relationships.
